Privacy Policy

What personal data U Educate collects, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have.

Last updated: 6 July 2026

1. Who we are

U Educate ("U Educate") is the data controller for personal data processed through you-educate.com and teacher.you-educate.com. For any privacy question, contact privacy@you-educate.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account & identity data: student and guardian name, email address, and login credentials.
  • Learning data: course enrolments, lesson progress, assignment submissions, quiz results, and grades.
  • Transaction data: enrolment records and payment status. Card details are handled by Paymob, our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: sign-in activity, device/browser information, and cookies needed to keep you logged in and secure.

3. How we use your data

  • To create accounts and deliver the courses you enrol in.
  • To track progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • To process enrolments and payments and send you your login and transactional emails.
  • To secure the platform, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

We process data to perform our contract with you (delivering courses you purchased), to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running and securing the platform. Where required, we rely on your consent — which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Children's privacy

U Educate is used by school-age students, some of whom are minors. Enrolment and payment are carried out by a parent, legal guardian, or authorised school. We collect only the data needed for a student's education and do not use children's data for advertising. A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time.

6. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform, under appropriate safeguards:

  • Paymob — to process payments securely.
  • Our email provider — to deliver login and transactional messages.
  • Our hosting provider — to run the servers and databases that store your data.
  • Authorities or advisers where we are legally required to do so.

7. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable hosting. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and will notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email privacy@you-educate.com. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.

10. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the platform secure. See our Cookie Policy for details.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always posted on this page.
